May 16 (SeeNews) - Romania recorded a current account deficit of 5.004 billion euro ($5.445 billion) at the end of March, down from 5.429 billion euro a year earlier, the central bank said, citing provisional data.
Trade in goods deficit shrank to 6.566 billion euro, while the services surplus expanded to 2.842 billion euro, BNR said in a monthly balance of payments report published on Monday.
Primary income was in deficit of 1.437 billion euro at the end of March, compared to a shortfall of 1.289 billion euro a year earlier, while secondary income surplus decreased to 157 million euro.
