January 15 (SeeNews) - Romania's current account balance showed a deficit of 5.581 billion euro ($6.850 billion) in the 11 months through November 2017, compared to a gap of 2.896 billion euro a year earlier, the central bank said on Monday, citing provisional data.
The deficit in trade in goods increased by 2.31 billion euro and the surplus in trade in services increased by 150 million euro.
The deficit in primary income narrowed by 342 million euro, while the surplus in secondary income contracted by 176 million euro in the eleven months ended November 30 as compared to the prior-year period.
In 2016, Romania's current account gap widened to 4.11 billion euro, from 1.94 billion euro in 2015.
