August 28 (SeeNews) - Company managers in Romania expect growth in manufacturing, construction, services and retail in the next two months, the National Statistical Office (INS) said on Monday.
The managers of retail companies expect economic activity to pick up strongly in September-October, by 18%, INS said in a monthly business sentiment survey.

The volume of orders in retail is expected to increase by 14%, while the number of employees is expected grow by 12%. The managers also expect prices to go up by 18% over the next two months.
Romania's retail sales grew by 7.3% year-on- year in the six months through June, seasonally and working-day adjusted data from the country’s statistical office show.
Managers from the manufacturing sector expect an increase of 6% in production volumes in the next two months. Regarding the number of employees, relative stability is forecast, while industrial products' prices are expected to grow by 7%.
Construction managers expect a 9% rise in production volumes and a relative stability in the number of employees. Also, they forecast an 8%
growth in the prices of construction works during the following two months.
Sales in services are expected to increase by 11% during the next two months. The number of employees and sales prices are expected to be relatively stable, according to the survey.
A total of 8,216 managers of Romanian-based companies from construction, manufacturing, retail, and services were interviewed in the survey.
