February 13 (SeeNews) - Romanian metal roof tiles manufacturer Bilka aims for a 20% increase in its turnover this year - to 600 million lei ($143 million/127 million euro), it said on Wednesday.
The forecasts are mainly based on plans for expansion and increased investment in 2019, Bilka said in a press release.

"This year, we are continuing with the investment plan for the development of the industrial division, which is worth 20 million euro ($22.6 million) and runs from 2017 to 2020," Bilka Steel CEO Horatiu Tepes said.
At the same time, the company continues to invest in increasing the production capacity and the product range of its residential division.
"For this division, we have an investment budget of 5 million euro for 2019, to be used to acquire new production equipment, increase production and storage space, and expand the fleet. We will continue our growth strategy through investments. However, this year we are also considering the acquisition of companies with similar activities," Tepes added.
Bilka closed 2018 with a turnover of 501 million lei, up 27% on 2017, above the Romanian roof tile market growth of just under 10%, according to company data.
Last year, Bilka exported complete roofing systems worth 11 million euro, up 50% over 2017.
Bilka's products are exported to Bulgaria, Hungary, Moldova, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, the Netherlands, Austria, Ireland and Ukraine.
The company's factory is located in Brasov and was established in 2007. At present, the production and storage halls spread on an area of 140,000 sq m. In its 12 years of activity, Bilka has invested over 40 million euro in Romania.
