October 25 (SeeNews) - The value of Romanian banks' outstanding loans to the non-government sector grew 13.4% year-on-year to 314.6 billion lei ($74 billion/64 billion euro) in September, compared to a 12.8% growth in August, the central bank, BNR, said on Monday.
Private lending in lei increased by 18.4% on the year to 225.3 billion lei in September, after growing by 17.5% in August, BNR said in a statement.
Private lending in foreign currency rose 2.3% on the year to 89 billion lei in September, compared to a 2.7% rise in August.
