March 24 (SeeNews) - The value of Romanian banks' outstanding loans to the non-government sector grew 7.6% year-on-year to 271 billion lei ($61 billion/60 billion euro) in February, compared to a 6.9% growth in January, the central bank, BNR, said on Tuesday.
Private lending in lei increased by 9.8% on the year to 181.6 billion lei in February, after growing by 10% in January, BNR said in a statement.
Private lending in foreign currency rose by 3.4% to 89.4 billion lei in February, compared to a 1.1% rise in January.
