December 28 (SeeNews) - The value of Romanian banks' outstanding loans to the non-government sector grew 6.3% year-on-year to 250.7 billion lei ($61.5 billion/54 billion euro) in November, compared to a 6.8% growth in October, the central bank, BNR, said on Friday.
Private lending in lei increased by 12.8% on the year to 164.5 billion lei in November following a rise of 13.6% in October, BNR said in a statement.
Private lending in foreign currency decreased by 4.3% to 86.2 billion lei, compared to a 4.1% drop in October.
