BUCHAREST (Romania), January 23 (SeeNews) – Romania's Banca Transilvania [BSE:TLV] said on Wednesday it has increased its share capital by 2.6 million lei ($620,776/620,776 million euro) through conversion of Bancpost shares with a nominal value of 1.0 leu per unit.
The increase is a result of the absorption of Bancpost which was completed at at the end of last year, Banca Transilvania said in a filing to the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB.
Following the increase, Banca Transilvania's share capital stands at 4.815 billion lei.
Banca Transilvania acquired Bancpost from Greece's Eurobank Group in April 2018. Following the acquisition, the integration of Bancpost into Banca Transilvania financial group began. The process of integration was completed at the end of 2018.
Banca Transilvania has 2.5 million customers, nearly 500 branches and more than 7,000 employees.
Its shares traded 0.22% lower at 1.7860 lei as of 1415 CET on Wednesday on the BVB.
