March 23 (SeeNews) - Romanian construction materials distributor Arabesque said that it invested 25 million euro ($27.2 million) in a logistics hub in the northeastern city of Suceava.
The hub comprises an Arabesque warehouse and a retail store under its MatHaus brand, the company said in a press release on Wednesday.
It covers a surface of 46,900 sq m, of which approximately 22,000 sq m of built surface area for the warehouse and retail store. It will employ around 200 people.
Founded in 1994 by the Rapotan family, Arabesque has since expanded its business in Ukraine, Bulgaria and Moldova. The company has a network of 36 shopping centres and warehouses. In Romania, it employs 2,900 staff and owns a fleet of 1,000 trucks.
