September 25 (SeeNews) - Romania's competition authority said on Tuesday it approved the takeover of three Adivin'95 stores by Mega Image Romania retailer.
"Following a review of the transaction, the Competition Council found that it does not raise significant obstacles to effective competition in the market, in particular by establishing or strengthening of a dominant position," the anti-trust body said in a statement.

The three Adivin stores are located in the Black Sea port city of Constanta.
In 2014, the Competition Council conditionally authorized the transaction in which Mega Image was to take over 20 Angst stores, after finding that in some areas in Bucharest Mega Image's market position would be strengthened, with the effect of reducing consumer choice. Thus, Mega Image had to renounce the purchase of one store, sell two more as well as not to engage in the divested business until after a ten-year period.
Mega Image is controlled by Belgian-Dutch food retailer Ahold Delhaize.
Mega Image entered Romania in 2015, where it currently operates three kinds of stores: regular, Shop&Go and Gusturi Romanesti.
