December 11 (SeeNews) - Romania's annual consumer price inflation decelerated to 3.43% in November from 4.25% in the previous month, the national statistical office, INS, said on Tuesday.
Food prices rose 2.86% year-on-year in November, while non-food prices increased 4.24%, INS said in a statement.
Prices of services grew by 2.50% in November.
On a monthly comparison basis, Romania's consumer price index (CPI) fell by 0.1% in November, as food prices dropped 0.3%, non-food prices edged down by 0.1%, while prices of services rose 0.1%.
In November, Romania's central bank (BNR) affirmed its annual inflation forecast for 2018 at 3.5%, at the upper end of its target band of 1.5-3.5%.
Also in November, BNR maintained its monetary policy rate at 2.50%. BNR last changed the rate in May, increasing it to 2.50% from 2.25%, the third rate hike this year.
