August 24 (SeeNews) - The deposits of the non-governmental sector in Romanian banks grew 15.3% on the year to 442.3 billion lei ($125 billion/107 billion euro) in July, compared to an annual increase of 14.7% in June, the central bank, BNR, said on Tuesday.
Leu deposits increased 16.4% on the year, reaching 286 billion lei in July, at the same pace as in the previous month, BNR said in a monthly monetary statistics report.
Foreign currency deposits increased by 13.3% on the year to 156 billion lei in July, after growing by 11.5% in June.
