October 23 (SeeNews) - The deposits of the non-governmental sector in Romanian banks grew 10.1% on the year to 314.6 billion lei ($79 billion/67 billion euro) in September, compared to an annual increase of 10.5% in August, the central bank, BNR, said on Tuesday.
Leu deposits increased 7.5% year-on-year to 208.6 billion lei in September, after growing by 7.6% in the previous month, BNR said in a monthly monetary statistics report.
Foreign currency deposits increased by 15.5% on the year to 106 billion lei in September, after growing by 16.9% in August.
