December 27 (SeeNews) - The value of deposits of the non-government sector in Romanian banks grew 11.4% on the year to 293.2 billion lei ($74.8 billion/63.1 billion euro) in November, decelerating from an annual rise of 12.5% in October, the central bank, BNR, said on Wednesday.
Leu deposits increased 10.2% year-on-year to 196.6 billion lei in November, after growing by an annual 12.9% in the previous month, BNR said in a monthly monetary statistics report.
The annual growth rate of foreign currency deposits rose from 11.6% in October to 14.1% in November, when they totalled 96.57 billion lei.
