September 27 (SeeNews) - Registrations of new commercial vehicles in Romania fell 16.9% on the year to 7,715 in the first eight months of 2013, provisional data of the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association, ACEA, indicated on Friday.
In August alone, registrations in Romania dropped by 50% on the year to 741, marking the sharpest drop among EU member states, ACEA said in a statement on its website.

Registrations in Romania of new light commercial vehicles of up to 3.5 tonnes fell by 20.2% to 5,352 in the first eight months of the year. In August, registrations plunged 53.1% to 532.
New commercial vehicles registrations in the European Union fell 5.5% to 1.07 million units through August, ACEA said.
