April 4 (SeeNews) - Romanian affiliate marketing company 2Performant recorded commission fees worth 1.38 million euro ($1.518 million) in the first quarter of the year, an increase by 52.4% as compared to the like period a year earlier, the company said on Monday.
2Performant had 11,926 unique users in the first quarter of the year, marking a 36% increase in platform use, the company said in a press release.
This has generated around 408,000 online sales, valued at 20.56 million euro exclusing VAT, it added.
"[...] in the first quarter of this year, on the 2Performant platform, the conversion rate was 1.96%, up 15.5% compared to the same period in 2021, while the average sales value remained similar at 50.42 euro without VAT," CEO Dorin Boerescu said in the press release.
"The average earnings of affiliates are also on an upward trend, being 6.62 euro per 100 clicks, which is an increase of 12.5% compared to the first quarter of last year," he added. Currently, each 1 euro invested by stores in commissions brings sales of 16.45 euro ($18.09), Boerescu went on to say.
2Performant platform accrued over 3 million views in the review period, a 42% increase over the like period of 2021.
The highest earning categories in the review period were books, fashion, pharmaceuticals, beauty, home & garden, IT&C, kids’ products, sports goods, personal care, as well as pet supplies.
Some of the highest commission generating clients were Elefant, a mixed e-commerce platform; Dr. Max, a pharmaceuticals retailer; FashionDays, an online fashion retailer; or Decathlon, an international sports goods vendor.

The company's turnover rose by 27% to 25.7 million lei in 2021.
Its shares were trading at 4.33 lei ($0.96/0.87 euro) as of 12:00CET.
