December 30 (SeeNews) - Romania’s road infrastructure company CNAIR said that a consortium comprising three local companies that are part of the UMB Group won a 1.76 billion lei ($379.8 million/355.7 million euro) contract to build a segment on the Bacau-Pascani section of the A7 motorway.
The works on the 28.09 km segment are to be completed within 30 months and are covered by a ten-year warranty period, CNAIR said in a press release.
The project includes the construction of 38 bridges and overpasses stretching across 3,407 metres.
Financing was secured through Romania’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan, PNRR.
The consortium comprises SA&PE Construct, Spedition UMB and Tehnostrade, all part of Romania's UMB Group.
This is the consortium’s third contract on the Bacau-Pascani motorway section. Earlier in December, it won tenders to build an 18.99 km segment and a 30.3 km segment.
