January 31 (SeeNews) - Romanian sports network startup ESX said on Tuesday that it aims to more than double its last-year turnover figure to 10 million euro ($10.8 million) in 2023.
By this year-end, the startup also aims to expand the network of gyms it currently covers to 600 units across 100 localities, it said in a press release.
During 2022, the company's turnover turnover soared 400% year-on-year to 4 million euro, due to an accelerated expansion driven by the success of its digital subscription platform.
The staff of the sports startup saw a threefold increase since 2020, reaching 30 members at the end of 2022.
"We have aligned ourselves with market demands, and in 2022 we approached a new business segment, B2B, where we offer ESX subscription as a salary benefit for companies," said Andrei Trofin, founder and CEO of ESX.
ESX is an online platform offering subscriptions to approximately 500 sports centres and fitness clubs in 80 Romanian cities.
