December 16 (SeeNews) - The Romanian stock indices rose on Friday as daily turnover skyrocketed due to the initial public offering (IPO) of a 44% stake in Romanian privately-owned medical services provider MedLife, data from the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB, showed.
The bourse's total equity turnover jumped to 236 million lei ($60.9 million /58.3 million euro) from 25.9 million lei on Thursday, as the IPO generated some 230 million lei turnover.

The offering took place between December 7-15 on the BVB.
In regular trading, blue-chip lender Banca Transilvania [BSE: TLV] lost 0.42% to 2.3950 lei in Friday's largest turnover of 10.68 million lei.
Blue-chip oil and gas group OMV Petrom [BSE:SNP] gained 3.58% to 0.2605 lei in the day's second largest turnover o9.08 million lei.
Blue-chip investment fund Fondul Proprietatea [BSE: FP] rose 0.38% to 0.7960 lei in the day's third-largest turnover of 6.31 million lei.
