BUCHAREST (Romania), August 14 (SeeNews) – Romanian power grid operator Transelectrica [BSE:TEL] said on Friday its net profit fell 7% on the year to 210 million lei ($53 million/47.6 million euro) in the first half of 2015.
Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) remained almost flat on the year at 250 million lei through June, Transelectrica said in its first-half financial report.
Operating revenues rose by an annual 8.1% while operating expenses jumped 10% in the period under review.
The electricity transmitted via Transelectrica's grid increased by 1.5% on the year to 20.56 TWh in the first half.
The Romanian finance ministry owns nearly 59% of blue chip Transelectrica. Its shares were trading 0.18% down at 27.25 lei by 1406 CET on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
