June 13 (SeeNews) - Romanian multiplex chain HappyCinema is planning to invest 7 million euro in opening new cinemas, aiming to become the second-biggest operator in the country, local media reported on Wednesday.
HappyCinema intends to open cinemas in Alexandria and Bistrita this year, followed by Bacau, Slobozia and two other cities in 2019, online media outlet Romania-insider reported.
HappyCinema currently operates cinemas in Bucharest, Focsani and Buzau.
In the next five years the company intends to open cinemas in 20 cities across Romania.
