BUCHAREST (Romania), January 29 (SeeNews) – Romanian IT&C and electronics retailer Altex said on Wednesday it is opening a new store in the western city of Arad, its biggest in the country.
With the new 4,000 sq m store, the number of Altex outlets in Romania will increase to 105, the company said in a press release.
The new store, Altex's second in Arad, will employ 20 people.
Altex employs over 4,000 across Romania under the brands Altex and Media Galaxy, and also operates two online stores.
Altex posted a 10 million euro ($11 million) net profit in 2018 on a 720 million euro turnover, according to data posted on its website.
In December, Altex signed a deal to take over RTC Proffice Experience from investment fund Oresa Ventures.
The deal was made through Complet Electro Serv, an IT equipment manufacturer and distributor company in the Altex group, and is pending approval by the competition authority.
