May 30 (SeeNews) - Romanian furniture manufacturer Elvila [BSE:ELV] said on Monday it booked losses of 1.7 million lei ($370,000/343,000 euro) in the first quarter of 2022, as compared to 1.66 million lei loss in the same period last year.
The furniture company also booked a total operating income of 6.9 million lei, down from 7.8 million lei recorded in the first three months of last year, the company said in an unaudited financial statement filed to the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
The company’s first-quarter turnover totalled 6.1 million lei, down from 7.4 million lei in the like period a year earlier.
Founded in 1990, Elvila is a furniture manufacturing company. It employs over 1000 staff across its two factories and 23 stores, out of which 13 are franchise establishments. Based on a financial report submitted to the Bucharest Stock Exchange, Elvila booked a loss of 4.8 million lei in 2021 and 1.6 million lei in profits the previous year.
In February 2018, Elvila started trading on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
Elvilva shares last traded 23.08% up at 0.72 lei/share at 16:54 on May 23.
