June 24 (SeeNews) - Romanian flour milling company Sapte Spice said on Thursday it targets a 13% rise in 2021 turnover to 300 million lei ($73 million/ 61 million euro), on the back of a new product launch.
Sapte Spice estimates that it will sell about 2,000 tonnes of its newly launched pizza dough flour range this year, it said in a press release.
The local pizza flours market is estimated at over 20 million lei annually, the company added.
"Pizza is, without a doubt, the most popular and beloved food product in the HoReCa sector and not only. However, what we noticed is that, until now, there was no range of flours for professional use in Romania and most local producers were using imported flours," Sapte Spice executive general manager Dana Iorga said.
Sapte Spice was established in 2007, after milling group Vel Pitar divided into three autonomous companies. The other two entities are baking company Vel Pitar SA and retail company VP Magassin.
