May 31 (SeeNews) - Romanian dairy company Bonas [BVB:BONA] said on Tuesday it recorded a net loss of 312,000 lei ($67,700/63,100 euro) in the first quarter of 2022, a 21% increase over the first quarter of last year.
The company booked a total income of 4 million lei in the first quarter of 2022, up from 3.2 million lei in the same period in 2021, the dairy maker said in an unaudited financial report filed with the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
Bonas also recorded a turnover of 4 million lei in the first three months of 2022, a 22.15% increase over the results of the same period last year.
In June 2021, Bonas listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange’s alternative market, AeRO. Its strategy involved expanding its network of stores in Cluj and beyond, while also increase the output of its milk processing plant.
In April 2021, the company carried out a private placement, through which 40.76% of the company’s shares were sold at a price of 5 lei/share. The company raised approximately 10 million lei from 114 investors.
Founded in 1991, Bonas is a dairy product company which currently employs 75. Its products are manufactured in Dezmir, Cluj County. Based on a financial report filed to the Bucharest Stock Exchange, Bonas recorded a net profit of 170,000 lei in 2021, a decrease over 2020’s 452,000 lei. Its turnover saw an increase from 12.7 million lei in 2020, to 14 million lei in 2021.
Bonas shares traded 2.05% down at 1.43 lei/share at 09:58 CET on Tuesday, on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
