BUCHAREST (Romania), February 22 (SeeNews) – Romanian cosmetics producer Cosmetic Plant said on Monday it expects its turnover to increase by at least 10% in 2016 to some 2.2 million euro ($2.4 million), driven by expansion of the distribution network, higher exports and new products.
Cosmetic Plant's exports surged 170% on the year in 2015, as it sold products in more foreign markets and expanded its partnering network, the company said in a press release.
"We are pleased that last year we strengthened our positions in Hungary, which is our main export market. In addition to Hungary, Moldova and Jordan are among our top export destinations," general manager Susana Laszlo said.
The company posted a 400,000 euro profit in 2015 and a 2 million euro turnover, up 20% from 2014.
Cosmetic Plant is a family business established in 1991 in the central city of Cluj-Napoca, where it operates a 1,700 sq m facility with a production capacity of 2 million products per year.
