December 2 (SeeNews) - The foreign exchange reserves held by Romania's central bank, excluding gold, totalled 33.817 billion euro ($37.2 billion) at the end of November, down from 34.908 billion euro a month earlier, the central bank said on Monday.
Foreign exchange inflows amounted to 1.89 billion euro worth of inflows representing representing changes in credit institutions’ foreign currency-denominated required reserves, inflows into the finance ministry accounts, inflows into the European Commission’s account, and other.
Foreign exchange outflows totaled 2.98 billion euro worth of outflows representing changes in credit institutions’ foreign currency-denominated required reserves, interest payments and principal repayments on foreign currency public debt, and other.
The gold reserves of the central bank remained unchanged at 103.6 tonnes and were worth 4.411 billion euro at current international prices at the end of November.
The international reserves of Romania, including foreign currencies and gold, totalled 38.228 billion euro as of end-November, compared to 39.400 billion euro a month earlier.
Romania will have to pay approximately 151 million euro on its public and publicly guaranteed foreign currency-denominated debt in December.
