June 21 (SeeNews) - Romanian dairy producer Vitalact received a 3.5 million euro ($4.4 million) investment for a new factory from its indirect owner, businessman Mihai Miron.
The investment will help diversify Vitalact brand products as an integrated flow, from plant farm to livestock farm to dairy factory, the company said in a press release.
Vitalact is owned by Miron's company BIOEF and is supported by its own cow farm and 1,500 hectares of agricultural land located in Dostat commune, in Alba county.
The new factory, located in Baru, in Hunedoara county, has state-of-the-art equipment and its own authorized laboratory, where the quality of milk and end-products is controlled.
"[...] I think there's always room on the market for special products. I'm thinking about organic milk, with therapeutic properties," Miron, who is also the owner of local pharma group Ropharma, said.
