November 23 (SeeNews) - Romanian alcoholic beverages producer and distributor Zarea will invest 20 million euro ($20.5 million) into a production facility located in the southern city of Mizil, Prahova county, a local MP said.
The factory will be located within the Ploiesti Industrial Park, Prahova county MP Bogdan Toader said in a social media post on Monday.
The Ploiesti Industrial Park was established in 2002 and is one of the largest industrial parks in Romania. The park has four locations in Prahova county, in the cities of Ploiesti, Mizil and Ciorani and the commune of Urlati, according to its website.
Zarea was established in Bucharest in 1912 as a producer of sparkling wine.
Currently, the company's portfolio comprises 20 brands of alcoholic beverages.
In 2021, the company booked a net profit of 17.3 million lei ($3.6 million/3.5 million euro) and employed 201 at year-end, data from the finance ministry's website showed.
