April 1 (SeeNews) - Romania's finance ministry said on Wednesday it intends to sell 3.95 billion lei ($899 million/819 million euro) worth of government securities in April, including 450 million lei in non-competitive offers.
The finance ministry plans seven auctions of government securities with residual maturity ranging from 2.3 to 7.7 years and an auction of one-year Treasury bills, according to its April issuance plan published in the Official Gazette.
The ministry managed to sell 4.98 billion lei worth of government securities in March, close to the proposed amount of 5 billion lei.
So far this year, Romania has sold almost 17.9 billion lei and 150 million euro of debt and tapped foreign markets for 3 billion euro worth of 2032 and 2050 Eurobonds.
