January 9 (SeeNews) - Romania sold on Monday sold 267 million lei ($58 million/54 million euro) worth of new Treasury bills maturing on December 27 2023, below target, central bank data showed.
The average accepted yield was 6.80%, while demand totaled 337.3 million lei, the data indicated.
Also on Monday, the finance ministry sold 1.65 billion lei of Treasury bonds maturing on October 30 2038, well above the planned amount.

Romania's finance ministry intends to sell 5.35 billion lei worth of government securities in January, including 645 million lei.
So far this year, Romania has sold roughly 5.39 billion lei.
