June 24 (SeeNews) - Romania's finance ministry on Thursday sold 254.9 million lei ($62 million/52 million euro) auction of Treasury bonds maturing on October 25 2027, below initial target, data from the country's central bank showed.
Total bids placed totaled 286.9 million lei, while the yield was 2.95%, the data indicated.
The issue will be reopened on Friday when the finance ministry hopes to raise 90 million lei in a non-competitive tender.
At the last tender of the same issue held in May, the finance ministry rejected all bids.
Also on Thursday, the finance ministry sold a more than planned 852.6 million lei worth of new June 2022 Treasury bills at an average yield of 1.97%.

Romania's finance ministry intends to sell 5.125 billion lei worth of government securities in June, including 525 million lei in non-competitive offers.
So far this year, the finance ministry has sold some 28.5 billion lei, 1.48 billion euro ($1.76 billion) worth of government bills and bonds and has tapped foreign markets for 3.5 billion euro worth of of 2033 and 2041 Eurobonds.
