June 24 (SeeNews) - Romania sold on Thursday 852.6 million lei ($207 million/173 million euro) worth of new Treasury bills maturing on June 27 2022, above initial target, central bank data showed.
The average accepted yield was 1.97%, while demand totaled 891.8 million lei, the data indicated.
Also on Thursday, the finance ministry sold below target 254.9 million lei of Treasury bonds maturing on October 25 2027.

Romania's finance ministry intends to sell 5.125 billion lei worth of government securities in June, including 525 million lei in non-competitive offers.
So far this year, the finance ministry has sold some 28.5 billion lei, 1.48 billion euro ($1.76 billion) worth of government bills and bonds and has tapped foreign markets for 3.5 billion euro worth of of 2033 and 2041 Eurobonds.
