January 27 (SeeNews) - Romania on Thursday sold 909 million lei ($206 million/184 million euro) worth of Treasury bonds maturing in 2024 and 2029, central bank data showed.
The finance ministry sold 356.1 million lei worth of Treasury bonds maturing on June 17 2024, above initial target, central bank data showed.
The average accepted yield was 4.66%. The issue will be reopened on Friday, when the finance ministry hopes to raise 30 million lei in a non-competitive tender.
Also on Thursday, Romania sold 553 million lei worth of Treasury bonds maturing on July 25 2029, above target.
The average accepted yield was 5.19%. The issue will be reopened on Friday, when the finance ministry hopes to raise 60 million lei in a non-competitive tender.

Romania's finance ministry said it intends to sell 5 billion lei worth of government securities in January, including 615 million lei in non-competitive offers.
So far this year, Romania has sold just roughly 5.8 billion lei worth of bonds.
