November 7 (SeeNews) - Romania sold on Thursday 755.5 million lei ($176 million/159 million euro) worth of Treasury bonds maturing in 2022 and 2034, central bank data showed.
The finance ministry sold 528.5 million lei in 2022 bonds at an average accepted yield of 3.55%, the data indicated. The demand totaled 666.5 million lei, above initial target of 500 million lei.
The issue will be reopened on Friday when the finance ministry hopes to raise 75 million lei in a non-competitive tender.
Another 227 million lei in 2034 bonds were also sold on Thursday at an average accepted yield of 4.75%. Demand was 391.9 million lei, higher than the offered amount of 200 million lei.
This issue will be reopened on Friday when the finance ministry hopes to raise 30 million lei in a non-competitive tender.

Romania's finance ministry plans to auction 4.1 billion lei worth of government securities in November, including 510 million lei in non-competitive offers.
Since the beginning of 2019, the finance ministry has sold roughly 42 billion lei and 845 million euro worth of domestic government securities.
It also tapped foreign markets for 5 billion euro worth of 2026, 2034 and 2049 Eurobonds.
