May 29 (SeeNews) - Romania's finance ministry sold on Monday 817 million lei ($176.4 million/164.7 million euro) worth of Treasury bonds maturing on April 29, 2030, above its 700 million lei target, central bank data showed.
The average accepted yield was 7.09%, compared to 7.53% achieved at the previous auction of government securities of the same issue held in April.
Demand for the bonds, which carry an annual coupon of 8.75%, fell to 1.046 billion lei at Monday's auction from 1.152 billion lei at the previous auction.
The issue will be reopened on Wednesday, when the finance ministry hopes to raise an additional 105 million lei in a non-competitive tender.
