January 17 (SeeNews) - Romania on Monday sold 1.2 billion lei ($276 million/243 million euro) worth of Treasury bonds maturing in 2027 and 2034, central bank data showed.
The finance ministry sold 676.5 million lei worth of Treasury bonds maturing on October 25 2027, above initial target, central bank data showed.
The average accepted yield was 5.09%. The issue will be reopened on Tuesday, when the finance ministry hopes to raise 75 million lei in a non-competitive tender.
Also on Monday, Romania sold 526 million lei worth of Treasury bonds maturing on October 11 2034, above target.
The average accepted yield was 5.51%. The issue will be reopened on Tuesday, when the finance ministry hopes to raise 45 million lei in a non-competitive tender.

Romania's finance ministry said it intends to sell 5 billion lei worth of government securities in January, including 615 million lei in non-competitive offers.
So far this year, Romania has sold just roughly 3.5 billion lei worth of bonds.
