Romania's finance ministry sold out a 500 million lei ($110.5 million/101.6 million euro) offer of government securities maturing on November 25, 2025, central bank data showed on Thursday.
The average accepted yield was 7.07%, compared to 7.21% achieved at the previous auction of government securities of the same issue held in late February.
Demand for the government securities which carry an annual coupon of 3.5%, rose to 603 million lei at Thursday's auction, from 529.3 million lei at the previous auction.
The issue will be reopened on Monday, when the finance ministry hopes to raise 75 million lei in a non-competitive tender.
Year to date, Romania has sold some 35.487 billion lei worth of debt paper.
