April 25 (SeeNews) - Romania's finance ministry said the government has approved its proposal to start talks with the World Bank for a $2.5 million (2.24 million euro) loan, to be used to support preliminary work on the development of a judicial quarter in Bucharest.
By building a designated judicial quarter, the government aims to overcome the lack of space for accomodation of courts of law and prosecutors' offices in the capital city.
The loan would would be used to finance geotechnical studies, detailed planning and designing, as well as the overall project management, the ministry said in a press release on Wednesday.
The site selected for the development of the project is located in the broad Unirii Boulevard area, in the city's central part.
