August 5 (SeeNews) - Romania has posted a 4.7% annual rise in industrial producer prices in June, the second highest increase among EU member states after Latvia's, the bloc's statistical office said.
On a monthly comparison basis, Romania's industrial producer price index (PPI) fell by 0.5%, Eurostat said in a statement on Friday.
Elsewhere in Southeast Europe (SEE), Bulgaria's industrial PPI added 2.6% year-on-year in June and edged down by 0.4% month-on-month, while Slovenia's PPI increased by 2.0% on the year and remained unchanged compared to May.
Croatia posted a 0.5% annual rise in PPI in June. On a monthly comparison basis, the country's PPI decreased by 1.1%.
Greece's industrial PPI fell 1.2% year-on-year and decreased by 1.9% month-on-month.
On average, industrial PPI in the EU rose by an annual 0.9% in June and was 0.6% lower compared with the May value.
