November 4 (SeeNews) - Romania's industrial producer prices index (PPI) rose by 21.7% year-on-year in September, marking the biggest increase on an annual comparison basis among all EU member states in Southeast Europe (SEE), the EU's statistical office said on Thursday.
Bulgaria occupied the second place in this ranking, with an annual PPI growth rate of 20.3% in September, Eurostat said in a statement.
Elsewhere in SEE, Slovenia's yearly PPI growth of 9% in September ranked third-lowest in the entire EU after Malta and Slovakia.
