July 3 (SeeNews) - Romania has posted the highest annual increase in industrial producer prices among all EU member states in May - by 5.9%, the bloc's statistical office said.
On a monthly comparison basis, industrial producer price index (PPI) in Romania remained unchanged, Eurostat said in a statement on Tuesday.
Elsewhere in Southeast Europe (SEE), Bulgaria's industrial PPI rate added 3.4% year-on-year in May and edged down by 0.1% compared to April, while Slovenia's PPI increased by 2.2% on the year and edged up by 0.3% month-on-month.
Croatia posted a 1.5% annual rise in PPI in May. On a monthly comparison basis, the country's PPI edged down by 0.1%.
Greece's industrial PPI edged up by 0.2% year-on-year. The country posted the highest PPI decrease among EU28 month-on-month - by 0.8%.
On average, industrial PPI in the EU rose by an annual 1.6% in May, and was 0.1% lower compared with the April value.
