February 7 (SeeNews) - Romania posted the highest annual increase of retail trade volume in December among EU members for which data is available, the bloc's statistical office said.
Romania's annual retail trade volume rose by 8.5% year-on-year in the month under review, well above the EU28 average of 2.0%, Eurostat said in a statement earlier this week.
Elsewhere in Southeast Europe (SEE), Slovenia posted the largest decrease in annual retail trade volume among EU28 in December - by 6.6%.
In November Romania had the second-highest rise in retail trade volume, after Hungary.
