- The total investment in the five malls which have been or will be completed by the end of the year in Romania exceeds 400 million euro. This is the lowest volume of investments recorded on this market in the last four years.
- Romania is among the top ten markets with the largest milk production in the EU, with an annual average of 232 litres per capita, but only 20% of the production reaches plants to be processed.
- Automotive Trading Services, a company controlled by Romanian former Prime Minister Calin Popescu-Tariceanu, shut down the 150- square metre Harley Davidson showroom in the Black Sea port of Constanta, in the southeastern part of the country, only several months after opening it.

- Russian gas group Gazprom’s chairman Alexei Miller might visit Romania’s capital city Bucharest this week to talk with the local authorities about the South Stream gas pipeline project.
- The Romanian Senate adopted an amendment to the law on health sector reform, whereby 5.0% of sums collected from sanctions, fines, authorization fees and taxes owed by individuals and legal entities will be transferred to the health security fund.

- German Chancellor Angela Merkel pays a visit to Romania on Tuesday. The German top official will visit the Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj, in the northwestern part of the country, where she will be awarded the Doctor Honoris Causa title.
