June 23 (SeeNews) - Romania's government said on Tuesday that it has lifted the travel restrictions related to coronavirus for visitors from Italy, the European territory of France, Finland, Estonia and Ireland.
Travellers arrivin in Romania from these five countries who show no COVID-19 infection symptoms will no longer be required to stay in quarantine or in home isolation, the government said in a press release.
The five countries were added to Romania's 'green-zone list' which now comprises 22 states.
The list only includes countries in which the average number of new cases registered in the last 14 days is smaller than five per 1 million inhabitants, namely Austria, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Cyprus, Croatia, Switzerland, Estonia, Finland, Metropolitan France, Germany (except for Kreis Gutersloh which is a yellow area), Greece, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Malta, Norway, Slovakia, Slovenia and Hungary.
As of Tuesday, Romania has confirmed a total 24,505 cases of the novel coronavirus (Covid 19) infection including 1,539 deaths.
