September 3 (SeeNews) - Romania and Bulgaria posted the highest annual increases in industrial producer prices among EU member states in July - of 6.2% and 4.0%, respectively, the bloc's statistical office said on Tuesday.
Bulgaria and Latvia had the same industrial producer price indexes in July.
On a monthly comparison basis, Bulgaria's industrial producer price index (PPI) rose by 1.5% in July - the second highest month-on-month increase after Cyprus, while Romania's PPI added 0.9%, Eurostat said in a statement.
Elsewhere in Southeast Europe (SEE), Slovenia's industrial PPI rose 1.8% year-on-year in July and added 0.1% month-on-month, while Croatia's PPI edged up by 0.1% on the year and by 0.3% compared to the previous month.
Greece's industrial PPI fell 0.5% year-on-year but added 1.2% month-on-month in July.
On average, industrial PPI in the EU rose by an annual 0.6% in July and was 0.3% higher om a monthly comparison basis.
