August 16 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip SOFIX index of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange ended its 4-day losing streak as it closed 0.39% higher at 633.62 points on Thursday, supported by a 7.84% rise in the share price of resort operator Albena [BUL:6AB].
Trade in Albena shares generated a turnover of 150,457 levs ($87,629/76,927 euro), or 19% of the total regulated market turnover on Thursday, as the company's shares ended the session at a price of 55 levs apiece.
Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:6A6] was the most traded blue chip, as 99,894 shares in the company changed hands, generating a turnover of 205,612 levs. The company's shares ended the session 0.97% lower at 2.05 levs.
Total trading turnover increased to 802,676 levs on Thursday from 195,670 levs on Wednesday.
Diversified group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:5SR] fell the most among blue chips, closing 2.88% lower at 6.75 levs.
The rise in Albena shares also supported the wider BGBX40 index, which added 0.45% to 122.79 points on Thursday.
The other major contributor to the BGBX40's rise was logistics company Speedy [BUL:0SP], which gained 6.19% to 44.6 levs in a single deal for 65 shares.
The BGREIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts, gained 0.21% to 115.87 points on the back of a 5.53% rise in the share price of Roi Property Fund REIT, which ended the session at 4.2 levs.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, added 0.31% to 525.94 points.
