November 19 (SeeNews) - Passenger numbers at Croatia's Rijeka airport hit a record 179,364 in the first ten months of 2018, up 29% compared to the like period of last year, according to data of operator Zracna Luka Rijeka.
The number of takeoffs and landings at Rijeka airport went up 10.3% to 5,220 in January-October from 4,731 in the prior-year period, whereas cargo volume increased to 4,203 tonnes from 1,444 tonnes, figures posted on the website of the airport operator show.
Rijeka airport is expected to handle over 180,000 passengers this year, or 30% more than in 2017, which represents a rise of 6.5% compared to record 169,250 passengers in 2006.
