October 12 (SeeNews) - Retailer real,- Hypermarket Romania has named Michael Lamoot its new CEO as of October 15, it said on Monday.
Lamoot has so far been director of the non-food goods acquisition department of real,- Hypermarket Poland, the Romanian company said in a statement.
The previous CEO of real,- Hypermarket Romania, Tjeerd Jegen, left the company in July. An interim board of directors has been managing the company since then.
The Romanian retailer's turnover nearly doubled last year to 2.35 billion lei ($810 million/548 million euro). It plans to open its 22nd outlet at the end of this month.
real,- Hypermarket Romania is part of real,- International, which is a member of Germany's METRO Group.
