February 7 (SeeNews) - New residential buildings completed in Bulgaria in the fourth quarter of 2019 increased by 46.4% on the year to 1,057, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on Friday.
The total useful space of newly built dwellings jumped by 81.4% year-on-year to 422,400 sq m in the fourth quarter, NSI said in a statement.
The highest number of completed residential buildings in the review period was in the capital city of Sofia - 129. Varna and Blagoevgrad followed with 128 and 104 new residential buildings, respectively.
Houses constituted 75.2% of all new residential buildings in the quarter under review.
